No more new WIP's!!!

Just updated my WIP markers and I have decided that I am not starting any more projects until I have finished at least 10!!!!

(BTW, It'll never happen!)

Hellooo!

I haven't been around in a while. Have been busy, doing not a lot! Still looking for a job. Had a few interviews, but nothing much yet. It's frustrating, but I know that I will get there in the end.

Anyway, have been cross stitching recently, rather than knitting. I have nearly finished Glastonbury Tor, just have to add a few more green stitches around the frame, which is all good but unfortunately don't have a picture.

I have also been working on an Eeyore cross stitch, which is coming along quite well.

This is what he looked like a few days ago.

And this is what he looks like now!

He is coming on quite well, I think. It's starting to look a bit more like Eeyore now :) Hurrah!

Apologies for the terrible pics, from my mobile, I'm afraid.

'Breakaway' Socks and a birthday

The snow has all gone now :( But in reality it is better, because we can now get out of the house! One of the perils of living on a hill.

I have been trying to make my aunt a lavender bag for her birthday (today). It was supposed to be for Christmas, but I ran out of time then as well! I just have the sewing and stuffing to do now. Hopefully I will get it done.

I also started to make some socks. They are my 'breakaway' socks. I got stuck in a rut at the end of last week and I didn't feel much like crafting. Some stuff happened in life that made me feel rather low and I couldn't face any of my old projects, so I said to myself "Right. Start a pair of socks and pour all of the hurt and pain into the socks and then move on." It seems to have helped.

It's my first pair of socks too.

Off to sew some more!

Snoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!!!!!!!!!!

Today it snowed!

I took these pictures earlier today ...

The snow is much thicker now, as these pictures that I have just taken prove ...

Enough of the snow pictures now though ... I think I have frostbite!

Before we were snowed in (a slight exageration), I went and got the yarn in from the shed and started on making my Irish Hiking Scarf.

That is all the progress that I have managed to make so far, I think that I may go and curl up in bed and work on it some more!!

God ... how long has it been?

I hadn't realised that it had been so long since I had last written this blog.

I wish that I could say that I have been busy, but really, I haven't been that busy!

I am still working on my projects, the duck at least. The dog is somewhere under my bed, still unfinished. I'm sure that at some point, I will dig it out again and make some more progress on it.

I have actually made an awful lot of progress on the duck, I think I just have one more "arm" to do now, which is brilliant. Then I need to make him up, but before I do I need to source some eyes (in this town, yeah right!).

Tonight, on Ravelry, I found this pattern and I think that I have the prefect yarn to make it with, but it is in the shed and as I don't feel like freezing everything off by going outside, I'll look in the morning.

I also started to make a little baby cardigan, but I have made such little progress on that, it isn't worth writing any more about! Actually, I started it in a denim blue, got bored so started again in pink. I suppose that is worth talking about!

Anyhoo, I'm off to knit some more. See ya!

Quiz Results

These are the results of a quiz I did. Hopefully this won't look too odd!

What Kind of Knitter Are You?

You appear to be a Knitting Adventurer. You are through those knitting growing pains and feeling more adventurous. You can follow a standard pattern if it's not too complicated and know where to go to get help. Maybe you've started to experiment with different fibers and you might be eyeing a book with a cool technique you've never tried. Perhaps you prefer to stick to other people's patterns but you are trying to challenge yourself more. Regardless of your preference, you are continually trying to grow as a knitter, and as well you should since your non-knitting friends are probably dropping some serious hints, these days.http://marniemaclean.com

I made some changes.

Hi all. I have made some shanges to my blog.

Firstly, I changed the template. I was getting bored with the last one and I decided that it was time for a change.

Secondly, I added work in progress bars on the side. Have a look. They are cool, aren't they?

That is all for now. I will try to do a craft related post sometime in the near future.

We finished Edwin!!

We finished knitting "Edwin" the clown. I knitted the camera, the banana and the doughnut. I also made the belt buckle, but you can't see it on this picture.

Isn't he cute? I really enjoyed helping my mum to make him, although the stitching up really hurt my hands :(

I got some yarn to make a duck from about two weeks ago and I cast on to knit the left back. That was ok, once I eventually realised the legs were knitted as part of that. Yesterday I finished off the right back and was looking for something else to cast on, when I realised there were no instructions given for the head. I have decided though that as some of the other instructions that are given for the dog that is on the same pattern sheet, I will knit the dogs head and hope for the best.
