Hi. How are we all? I have a bad back and a pain in my leg :( Ouchie!
My mums friend gave me another knitting kit this morning. I am currently knitting the hat from the kit. It's grey and fluffy.
If I can find a source for the wool, I also want to knit this - http://www.berroco.com/exclusives/kable/kable.html. I want somewhere to keep my needles and this looks ideal.
I decided that I am going to knit baby clothes for the Hospital - for two reasons - one, I want to learn how to make things that are slightly nore difficult than scarves and two, why not learn whilst making things that other people need? Then once it is finished someone can put it to good use, rather than it just sitting at home until I need what I have made to practice. I'm sure that makes sense to me!
I better pop off now. I have college work to do as well. I'll write again ASAP!

I bought more yarn!
Yesterday we got sent home from college early due to a fault with the pluming. I went for a wander around town and I went into Wilkinsons and bought some yarn as it was 3 50g balls for £2.50 (which I have found is the average price of 1 50g ball). In total I got 9 balls. I am going to make more scarfs as I am quite good at making them!
I am almost half way through my neon green scarf.
I need to toodle off now.

Penguins, hedgehogs and hats!
Last night I finished knitting my penguins belly. It turned out not that bad, but the tension could have been better. All I have to knit now is the wings and feet.
I bought a knitting magazine yesterday. There is the most adorable hedgehog pattern in it called "Hibernating Harry". When I have enough money for wool, I am going to knit him for my friends sister as she his hedgehog mad.
I also found out about the Supergran project where small hats are knitted and are put on the top of Innocent smoothies. When the behatted bottles are sold at Sainsbury's and EAT cafes, 50p is donated to Age Concern. My mum. my aunt and I are all going to knitt some hats and send them in.

Hi there!
Hiya! My name is Annie and I currently have a blog here where I discuss my life and other things, but I have recently (well, not really that recently) been taken over by the crafting bug. I really love making things and I wanted to show them off to the world. That's why I created a new blog, just for my crafting projects.
So, a little about me. Like I said, my name is Annie. I am 18 years old and I live in England. I like knitting, cross-stitch, scrapbooking and card making, amongst many other crafts. I always like to try something new (I am trying to persuade my mum to teach me crochet, I made such a mess of it last time!) and if you have any ideas of things that I can try, please do let me know.

My current projects are:
- A knitted penguin - the pattern can be found here
- A lime green scarf
- A Newtons Law cross-stitch
I have not got that much on the go at the moment, but I have been thinking about college. When I have not got other commitments I will really get my "bits" out!
I will soon take some pictures of the projects that I have finished and put them onto here.
